Danish Greenwood Engineering in cooperation with Tampere University and Roadscanners Oy tested in July 2020 its Traffic Speed Deflectometer (TSD) technique at Aurora instrumented road test site in Muonio, Finnish Lapland.

The goal for these tests was to test the ability of TSD to measure accurately pavement surface response by comparing the TSD measurements to measurements by in-situ displacement transducers. In addition it was tested if TSD measurements could produce estimates of stresses and strains inside the pavement structure. Test runs were conducted at different driving speed and at different temperatures.

Test results were excellent and they will be published in the close future in international scientific journals and conferences.
